How We Collect and Use Other Information Independently from Your Use of the Genie Sites

Computer Information - Our system automatically collects data from your computer, such as details about your device, operating system, and browser, including your internet connection speed and any error messages you might have encountered. This is done to tailor our services to your specific needs and troubleshoot any issues you might be experiencing with our website. We may also determine your computer’s geographical location to offer localized service or enhance the speed of our service by delivering localized content to your server.
Security - Security is a top priority for us. We exercise great care in providing secure transmission of your Information from your Internet connection to our secure servers, as well as in handling the Information offline by limiting access to authorized personnel. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure and we will not be held liable should a third party illegally obtain your Information. If you register on one of the Genie Sites, you also authorize Genie to use your anonymized demographic information when calculating aggregate customer data. As a registered member, you give Genie and its agents permission to send you e-mails related to the services we offer.
Minors - Genie does not knowingly offer or sell products or services for children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you must not use the G Sites or provide us with your name, e-mail address, or any other identifying information. Since we do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for any information you may provide while on such sites you should read the privacy policies on those websites for information on how they handle your personal information.
Your Choices About Your Information
Opting-Out - If at any time you object to our use of your personal information, including use of your email address for marketing or other similar purposes, you may stop that use by emailing your request to info@geniehealthcare.com or unsubscribing using the link located at the bottom of our marketing emails. Please include “Unsubscribe” in the Subject line of your email.
California Residents’ Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the processing of certain personal data about you may be subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and other applicable privacy laws.
If you are a California resident, you have the right, subject to certain exceptions and other laws, to request information regarding Genie’s collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information over the past twelve (12) months. You also have the right to request that we delete certain information. Genie may deny your request to delete, following the CCPA, to comply with its other legal, regulatory, and accounting obligations.
To request what Information Genie has collected or shared about you, or to request that Genie delete your Information, please send an email with the subject line, “California Privacy Rights” to info@geniehealthcare.comor call us toll free at (855) 888-7333. In the body of your email or your voice message, please state your first name, last name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number. We will use this data to locate your profile within our system. If you are a California resident, Genie will respond in accordance with the CCPA and related regulations. If you are not a California resident, you do not have any rights under the CCPA and your request may be denied.
If an authorized agent of a consumer submits a request to know or request to delete, the agent must submit a writing to Genie that is signed and dated by the consumer. The consumer’s first name, last name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number must be included on the signed authorization. The signed authorization must expressly state that the agent is authorized to submit requests to know and requests to delete on the consumer’s behalf and receive the consumer’s personal information in response to a request to know and receive communications on the consumer’s behalf related to the requests.
You will not receive discriminatory treatment or retaliation if you or your authorized agent exercise your rights under the CCPA.
Under the CCPA, we are required to tell you if we “sell” or “share” Information. A “sale” means to share with a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. “Share” means to share with a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not “sell” or “share” your personal information.
